September 4, 2014 [ Philadelphia, PA] - Colliers International is pleased to announce the formation of the Philadelphia Capital Markets Group. The Capital Markets Group focuses on the entire capital structure specific to each real estate transaction, and has the ability and experience to structure and place innovative transactions that satisfy the needs of both borrowers and lenders. The new three-person team includes the addition of Kris Wood – Senior Vice President, John Banas – Senior Vice President, and Dean Costalas – Associate Director, operating out of both our Center City and Conshohocken offices.

Kris Wood and John Banas join us from Marcus & Millichap where, as Senior Directors, they were responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing for multifamily, office, retail, seniors housing and hospitality properties. Kris and John have considerable experience in the origination and placement of debt, mezzanine debt and JV equity, closing more than $2 billion and $1 billion respectively in transactions.

Dean Costalas brings with him experience in providing clients of all property types debt and/or equity using originators including commercial banks, agencies, CMBS, private equity, mezzanine/bridge lenders, life insurance companies, pension funds and MREITs. Dean’s prior experience includes the role of Proprietary Derivatives Trader on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
