Having proven their sandwich mettle with the success of their 2 Logan Square shop, Matt & Marie’s - an award-winning Modern Italian restaurant - opened its second location at 118 S 18th Street in Rittenhouse Square on February 19th. The 1,100-square-foot store with kitchen occupies the first floor and has café style seating for 20 guests. Formerly a Tony Jr’s Cheesesteak store, the location just off of Rittenhouse Square will bring their lineup of Italian sandwiches, salads, pastas and illy espresso drinks to one of Philadelphia’s most exciting food neighborhoods.
During their first year of operation, Matt & Marie’s received awards, namely from Zagat, Philly.com and USA Today:
