New York, December 12, 2016 – David Horowitz, a leader in the field of project management, recently joined Colliers International’s Project Management Northeast group’s New York office as Regional Director. He will dedicate his time to growing the firm’s project management services for corporate clients in the corridor from Metro Washington, DC to New England, with special focus on complex projects for commercial occupiers.

“Colliers is in growth mode in the New York and Northeast markets, and project management is an area we’ve targeted for more depth,” commented Jonathan Winikur, Executive Managing Director of Colliers’ Northeast Project Management group. “David’s expertise will enhance our ability to serve the needs of corporate entities, not-for-profit organizations, educational institutions and other occupiers with large, multifaceted real estate footprints and portfolios.”

Mr. Horowitz’s hiring supplements Colliers’ existing global strength in project management, and builds on the best-in-class resources gained in the Northeast from its acquisition of Strategic Building Solutions and Gorton and Partners earlier this year. Clients will benefit from his vast experience in regional project management, real estate and facility operations, resource modeling, project management technology, principal contracting, and project risk assessment — and his ability to envision and lead projects that fulfill strategic objectives for growth and development.

“Reducing spending on real estate remains a priority for most occupiers, and opportunities abound for qualified project management firms to act as outsourced resources. I’m excited to work with my new colleagues at Colliers to create strategies that strengthen existing client relationships and retain new business,” said Mr. Horowitz.

Mr. Horowitz has more than 30 years of real estate project management experience. Prior to joining Colliers, he spent 12 years at JLL, where he ended as Regional and Managing Director with responsibility for oversight of all project management for the JPMorgan Chase corporate account. He also provided platform leadership for other clients including HSBC, Fidelity, Deutsche Bank, Verizon and Merck. Before that, he held senior positions at Quartararo & Associates, Constructive (UK) Limited, American Express and Nico Construction Co., among other firms.

In addition to earning a bachelor of arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Mr. Horowitz completed post graduate work in construction management and business administration at Long Island University and New York University. He is a member of the Project Management Institute.
