announced today that 15-year industry veteran John Pavone
has joined its New York operations as a Director of Brokerage Services.
Pavone, who has completed more than eight million square feet of sales and lease transactions over the course of his career, will focus on tenant and landlord representation primarily in Midtown Manhattan. He will immediately support the brokerage team led by Andrew Roos, Vice Chairman, and Michael T. Cohen, President of the Tri-State Region. Among their assignments, the team is currently marketing 655 Madison Avenue –– a boutique 25-story, 225,000-square-foot office tower in the Plaza District –– as the exclusive leasing agent for the property.
Among his notable career transactions, Pavone arranged: Baker & Hostetler LLP’s 83,000-square-foot relocation to 45 Rockefeller Plaza; Andersen Tax’s 40,000-square-foot new lease for their headquarters at 1177 Avenue of the Americas; inVentive Health’s 23,000-square-foot first lease in New York at 1180 Avenue of the Americas; the International Language Schools of Canada’s 15,000-square-foot lease for their first New York City operation at 111 Nassau Street; Magnolia Pictures’ 10,000-square-foot headquarters renewal at 49 West 27th Street; and Constantin Associates’ 8,000-square-foot renewal at 575 Madison Avenue.
Additionally, Pavone has completed landlord agency assignments for CalStrs, including leasing for 551 Madison Avenue.

Prior to Colliers, Pavone served as a Vice President of Brokerage Services at DTZ, where he advised corporate tenants and developed strategies to grow DTZ’s presence in New York City. Prior to DTZ, he served as a Vice President of Brokerage Services at CB Richard Ellis.
Pavone is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York and CoreNet Global, served three terms on the Board of Directors for the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association of New York, and is the current Journal Chair for the AHRC New York City’s Dinner Committee. He received a BA from Loyola College in Maryland and is currently working on his MBA at Fordham University.
