In its Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2016 Survey, ULI named Nashville the “#7 U.S. Market to Watch for 2016.” Nashville’s low cost of doing business, consistent job and population growth, and robust construction levels—coupled with record low vacancy and historically high rents—has attracted significant investment to the market. Nashville’s manufacturing base expanded throughout 2015. In the past 12 months, 29 advanced manufacturing companies have announced relocations or expansions in Middle Tennessee. During the fourth quarter, six companies representing the advanced manufacturing sector announced relocations or expansions in Middle Tennessee with plans to create a combined 710 jobs.
