New York, April 14, 2017 – Colliers International’s expansion of its New York Tri-State service platform reached a new milestone today with the acquisition of yet another team of retail brokerage experts. Michael Stone and David Tricarico join Colliers as executive directors, and Jedd Horn as an associate director. Together, these professionals bring decades of regional retail tenant and landlord experience to Colliers, and further build on the momentum generated by the arrival of industry icons David Green and C. Bradley Mendelson, as well as the expanding retail business handled by Patrick Breslin.
“Attracting such an accomplished retail team as Michael, David and Jedd is a testament to both the excitement surrounding Colliers in the New York Region and the firm’s ability to offer opportunities unique in the marketplace,” said Joseph Harbert, Colliers’ East Region President. “We’re growing rapidly, but strategically, by targeting the best commercial real estate professionals in every specialty.”
Michael Stone comes to Colliers after nearly two decades as a retail services leader at several competitor firms. He has completed strategic assignments as both tenant and owner’s agent in locations across the country, but primarily focuses on Manhattan, the outer boroughs and the Tri-State suburban market. Mr. Stone’s client roster encompasses national and international tenants including GoHealth Urgent Care, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, Verizon, Coldwater Creek and Rain Africa. He has represented properties for major owners, investors and developers including UDR, Inc., the Lefrak Organization, SJP Properties, the Durst Organization, LCOR, Spear Street, Kushner Companies, Onyx Equities, the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and John Hancock. Mr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University and a J.D. from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.
David Tricarico has more than 18 years of retail experience in the New York market. He has advised owners and developers including Cape Advisors, Magnum Real Estate Group, CIM, Rose Associates, Jamestown LP, UDR, Inc., Union Investment Real Estate, Beacon Capital, CBS Corporation, Verizon, Ceres Real Estate and Colony Capital in retail acquisition and disposition initiatives at 140 West Street, 51 West 52nd Street, 88 Greenwich Street, 31-00 47th Avenue (Long Island City), and other properties across the five boroughs. For tenants, Mr. Tricarico has secured flagship locations in connection with national expansions for Canada Goose and Inglot Cosmetics, and found strategic storefronts for JPMorgan Chase, ING Direct, the MTA, Unilever, Verizon and City Acres. He earned a Bachelor of Science from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Jedd Horn comes to Colliers with several years of experience in the New York retail market, having completed significant transactions as leasing agent for such prestigious organizations as Rose Associates, UDR Inc., NOAM Management, Onyx Equities, Spear Street Capital, and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. He has also represented tenants such as Unilever, GoHealth Urgent Care and JPMorgan Chase, among others. Mr. Horn earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University’s School of Public Environmental Affairs, with a Certificate in Urban Studies.
According to Kimberly Brennan, Chief Operating Officer for the Tri-State Region, “The addition of the Stone/Tricarico team adds invaluable strength to the retail platform Colliers is building in New York, and further elevates our capabilities to a world-class level. I look forward to seeing the success we produce for clients when all of our outstanding retail resources collaborate.”
