New York, September 26, 2017 – In response to clients’ need for educated, creative and market-savvy real estate advice in an evolving retail environment, Colliers International’s New York Retail team has expanded again with the addition of another up-and-coming brokerage professional. Zach Nathan joins the firm as a director focused on the representation of retail owners and tenants in acquisition and disposition activities in the Tri-State Region.
Mr. Nathan has more than six years of experience in the New York market and has concluded transactions in Manhattan as well as Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. He is an accomplished leasing agent, having represented institutional, public, private and other property owners in transactions with banks and other financial institutions, fitness organizations, telecommunications giants, cultural institutions and international restaurant conglomerates. On the tenant side, he has relationships and works closely with restaurants, fashion brands and fitness operators, among other retail categories.
“Zach adds another layer of strength to our increasingly sophisticated New York Retail Group,” noted David A. Green, Vice Chairman, Retail. “He has strong relationships with owners and tenants, giving him insight into both sides of the real estate equation. His experience in submarkets across Manhattan and the Outer boroughs ensures clients have the information they need to develop strategies and make smart decisions about their leased or owned properties.”
“E-commerce has forced a dramatic shift in the retail industry that has impacted both the way retailers occupy space and how owners find tenants for availabilities. Zach has spent his entire career in this environment, and he’s an expert in helping retail clients balance market dynamics and their business objectives,” noted C. Bradley Mendelson, Vice Chairman, Retail. “Colliers is building a first-class retail platform in New York, and he is a strategic addition to our talent roster.”
Prior to joining Colliers, Mr. Nathan was a director in a retail-focused real estate services firm. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and UJA-Federation of New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland.
