Colliers International has named Robert Caudill, a veteran commercial real estate broker and senior management executive, to the newly created post of Regional Director for Orange County. He will remain based at the firm’s Irvine, California regional headquarters.

With 25 years’ experience in both commercial real estate brokerage and consulting, Caudill’s new responsibilities will extend across all disciplines, including office, industrial, retail and investment operations. He also will be responsible for recruitment, team building and business development within the firm’s expanding Orange County operations.

“One of my highest priorities will be to aggressively expand our presence in Orange County through the recruitment of experienced commercial real estate brokers, as well as other professionals who may be seeking a career change,” said Caudill. “Our recruitment efforts will also extend to recent college graduates who may be looking to start their careers in the industry.”

While Caudill will be assuming broader, more strategic management responsibilities for Colliers in Orange County, he also will remain actively involved on the brokerage side of the business, representing tenants and landlords with colleagues Senior Vice President Matthew Didier and Senior Associate Ryan Ward. The team serves office property clients throughout Southern California with a particular emphasis on Orange County and the Inland Empire. Caudill joined Colliers in 2010 from Grubb & Ellis, where he had served as a senior vice president for office leasing throughout Southern California. Prior to that, he was an executive vice president with The Koll Companies, where he was responsible for that Newport Beach-based development firm’s Los Angeles office properties division.

“His success in representing both landlords and tenants in dozens of different industries, coupled with his demonstrated management expertise, should prove invaluable to both our clients and brokers in Orange County,” said Colliers’ Western Region President Martin Pupil. “We are confident that through his leadership capabilities and long experience in the industry, we will reinforce and expand our presence in the Orange County business community.”

Caudill’s academic background includes an undergraduate degree in business administration and marketing from Northern Michigan University, where he earned the university’s Outstanding Alumni Award.

Active in a variety of professional, civic and charitable organizations, Caudill is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he sits on the advisory board of the organization’s Orange County/Inland Empire Chapter and is Vice Chairman of the Places of Commerce Council. He also has served as a board member of several community groups, including the Meadow Park Foundation and Irvine Ranch Little League, and has donated his expertise to assist a number of non-profit organizations with their real estate needs, including City of Hope Medical Center, Mariposa Women’s & Family Center and Dollars for Scholars.
