DATELINE, July 27, 2016 –
Charlotte, NC – The Charlotte office of Colliers International was recently awarded the disposition assignment of the former Goodwill of the Southern Piedmont facilities at Freedom Drive and Berryhill Road near Uptown Charlotte. Goodwill recently relocated to their new state of the art Leon Levine Opportunity Center on Wilkinson Blvd. Situated on 18 acres and comprising 160,000 square feet, the new location had its grand opening on June 30, 2016. It includes space for strategic partners providing supports related to food and nutrition, healthcare, finance, education, and legal services; private interview rooms; and a childcare drop in center. Increased space in classrooms, computer labs and conference rooms will enhance basic services and continuing education for the community.
Colliers will be marketing their former facilities, which include a 66,000 square feet office/warehouse building on 2.84 acres, and two smaller buildings on 2.4 acres located on the adjacent corner. Future planning, per the City of Charlotte, calls for retail or office uses, but other uses will be considered, such as multi-family or self-storage. Rob Speir, Lawrence Shaw, Chris Neal and Justin Smith will handle the marketing responsibilities for Colliers.
