Challenge

In 1997, after an exhaustive RFP process involving 13 national commercial real estate firms, Fidelity Investments selected Colliers International as its first-ever strategic Tenant Representative for its Brokerage Services Division.

Fidelity’s Brokerage Services Division consists of 110 Retail Investor Centers and 14 regional offices comprising of approximately one million square feet of leasable area in 41 metropolitan markets. Over the past ten years, Colliers has worked on over 500 assignments for Fidelity across the United States.

Results

Most prominent are the five large flagship locations in extremely high profile, visible sites in some of the country’s most populated cities. These include: Park Avenue in New York; Market Street in San Francisco; Michigan Avenue in Chicago; Congress Street in Boston and most recently, a 10,000-square-foot Investor Center in Century City, California.

Assignments consist of acquiring new locations, expanding existing locations, relocating units, renewing and terminating leases and coordinating build-to-suit properties. Since 1997, Colliers has also represented Fidelity in the sale of a 300,000-square-foot industrial building in Charlotte, North Carolina; and a 65,000-square-foot media center in Dublin, Ohio, as well as a 40,000-square-foot lease buyout for Fidelity in Virginia.
