How We Started

Colliers International proudly traces its roots back to a local firm founded 1898. Today, our offices in 68 countries are aligned under a single brand and leadership, providing our clients with best-in-class resources while maintaining our historical flexibility and local ties.

Colliers was one of the first truly global commercial real estate organizations, formed more than 30 years ago as a network of independent firms. As client needs evolved, Colliers embraced the the opportunity to build an integrated global platform of professionals and property services to meet the demand for globally consistent service, accountability and integration.

Serving Arkansas since 1971

Predecessor Little Rock firms Barnes, Quinn, Flake & Anderson and IBR Real Estate merged becoming Dickson Flake Partners in 2003. In 2005, Lane Real Estate Services located in Bentonville, Arkansas was added as a branch office and the resulting group became Colliers International | Arkansas.

Colliers | Arkansas has a rich commercial real property history and has contributed significantly to our area’s economic development.  For more than four decades, Colliers | Arkansas has assembled or acquired sites for every major high-rise office development in Little Rock’s central business district except one.  Also, Colliers assembled the site for the 18,000 seat Verizon Arena.

The Jones Eye Institute on the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences campus in Little Rock, the corporate headquarters of Arkansas Best Freight Corporation in Fort Smith, J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Lowell and St. Vincent Hospital North are all projects for which Colliers International provided project development management services.

Little Rock’s Riverdale area owes much of its office development to Colliers' master planning of the former Alltel/Verizon campus.

Colliers International played key roles in bringing industrial leaders Caterpillar and Danish wind-power giant LM Glasfiber to central Arkansas.

Every year since 2003, Colliers | Arkansas has led the state in commercial property real estate management services and presently manages more than 14 million square feet.

No other commercial real estate firm within Arkansas has the wide range of diverse staff expertise that Colliers International brings our clients.
