Warsaw, June 15, 2016 – Colliers International advised Green Caffè Nero in its expansion into the Kraków market. It is a strategic moment for the tenant which has been operating so far only in Warsaw with 39 cafes already. Green Caffè Nero has recently signed two lease agreements in Kraków for a total of over 300 sqm. At the same time Colliers has finalized its 300th agreement within tenant representation.
“For years, Colliers has been supporting tenants in the development and restructuring of their businesses. We have just signed the 300th deal, where we represented the tenant. We are glad that this success involves Green Caffè Nero, for which our experts have been working for years,” said Marta Machus-Burek
Director, Retail Advisory Services, Retail Agency at Colliers International. “Services offered by Colliers International for tenants within the strategic consulting, leasing or restructuring of the business are based on our experts’ knowledge and experience, gained during the last 10 years of our cooperation with tenants”, added Marta Machus-Burek
“Entering a new market meant opening several units in a short period of time as well as finding local suppliers. Colliers has been operating in Kraków for many years and has the knowledge of the local market that is so important to us. This collaboration will support our first steps in Kraków. As always our cafés will only serve fresh, homemade products. »Made today to be enjoyed today« is our motto and one of the pillars of our business. We are going to stand by it whether we open in Warsaw or Kraków” , said Adam Ringer, President at Green Caffè Nero
The Polish retail market slowly saturates, so the development of both tenants and retail projects has to be well planned to create synergy with the existing market players. It is necessary to acquire knowledge and data from several sources to carry out the most accurate analysis of the potential location. Colliers International created tools such as the retail space search engine RetailMAP.pl or the blog najem.ca supporting tenants in making their business decisions. In the current market situation business strategy is a key element.
“For the last 10 years we have realized numerous lease transactions and advised tenants from the financial sector, e.g. several deals on behalf of Deutsche Bank, Credit Agricole, AVIVA CU. We have represented the tenants from various sectors like accessories, cosmetics or fashion, advising the landlords of both shopping malls and high street units. Our experience in this field is the value that we offer to our clients. Among our long-term clients which we currently advise are, for example, Green Caffè Nero or TK Maxx. We have recently support the latter in leasing space in Promenada shopping centre in Warsaw. The long-term relationships allow us to learn about tenants’ expectations regarding the location and the type of lease recquired. Hence, we can provide our services efficiently”, said Karolina Jamróz
, Associate Director in the Retail Agency at Colliers International.
Apart from supporting brands on the Polish market Colliers International helps Polish companies to identify opportunities abroad, both through a direct development or obtaining franchise partners. This year Colliers has supported the Polish brand 4F in finding two locations in shopping centers in Latvia.
