There are a variety of retail projects in Lublin. Despite the fact that retail space is located mainly in traditional shopping centres, there are also retail parks and outlet centres, which proves the maturation of the Lublin market.

The Lublin retail market still attracts the interest of developers. Last year, a new shopping centre – Tarasy Zamkowe – was completed as well as the first phase of the Kraśnicka retail park, which consists of Agata (home furnishing) and Bricoman (DIY). New supermarkets and food discounts also have appeared in the city. In the Felicity shopping centre a Cinema City with 9 screens was opened whose main attraction is the third cinema screen with 4DX technology (24 special effects) in Poland.

„Currently, there are no new retail projects under construction in Lublin. Nevertheless, a few investments including IKEA, the next phase of the Kraśnicka retail park and the Alchemia and Pasaż Victoria (former Pedet) schemes are planned”, said Katarzyna Michnikowska, Senior Analyst from the Research and Consultancy Services in Colliers International.

There are 1,130 units in shopping centres in Lublin. Chains from the fashion sector (32%) and services (13%) are the largest tenant groups.

Lease transactions announced in 2015 include: Alma (2,100 sqm), !ConFitness (1,500 sqm), Jupi Park (1,500 sqm), Carry (1,500 sqm) and CCC (400 sqm) in Tarasy Zamkowe, as well as stores from LPP chain including: Reserved (562 sqm), Mohito (524 sqm) and House/Cropp
(256 sqm) in Outlet Lublin as well as Piazza di Moda (420 sqm) in Atrium Felicity.

Rental rates are at an average level and show a slight downward trend due to the increase in competition. The highest monthly rents for a unit of 100-150 sqm in the fashion sector are in the range EUR 27-29 per 1 sqm.
