One of the main lecturers of the forum will be Baiba A. Rubesa, Chairman and Chief Executive of RB Rail Plc. She will speak about the Rail Baltica project, as well as discuss the legal aspects of disposing of property and analyse the project's impact on the economy, construction and real estate market. The topic of workplace as an advanced business accelerator will be addressed by JanJaap Boogaard, head of department at Colliers International EMEA Workplace Solutions. He develops new work and office concepts that affect organizational goals such as collaboration, productivity, efficiency and the health of employees. Meanwhile, the leading partner of the Finnish consultancy Voodoo Associates, Francois Duchastel will offer an informative lecture on "The Future of Retail in the Context of a New Urban Environment", focusing on innovative and consumer-oriented technologies. His goal is to explore in what way traditional retail premises will continue to grow in importance, and how street retail and malls will evolve in order to overcome future challenges.

The BREL program is, as always, divided in four content-specific sessions that will thoroughly examine the most relevant and topical issues in the industry, one after the other. The first session will focus on macro-economics and its development, as well as demographic and political aspects facing Baltic and European countries on a daily basis and exploring how these factors affect the real estate sector. And also, will discuss the impact of large infrastructural projects on the development of the cities. The second session will be devoted to investments, in which local and foreign investors will share their experience and views on the Baltic real estate market. The third session of the forum is related to the office segment and within it we will review and summarize global business environment trends, look into SSCs (Shared Service Centres), and discuss the great potential of the capitals of the regions’ countries. Finally, the topic of the fourth and closing session will be retailing, focusing on innovative and consumer-oriented technology. During this session, experts will present their views on the impact of e-commerce and traditional market places. After each session there will be interactive panel discussions and networking activities.

The forum will be moderated by Ģirts Rūda, RB Rail AS chief advisor and Rail Baltica chief coordinator; the forum will be in English. The event is organised by Colliers International in collaboration with iDEA HOUSE events.
