March 4 2011, Prague – Colliers International announced the appointment of Christopher Sheils as Head of Investment Services in their Czech Republic office starting from April 2011. Chris will lead Colliers Investment Services activities in Czech Republic and is taking over from Radek Cerha who has decided to depart and pursue other opportunities outside of Colliers.
Chris is a Chartered Surveyor with over 10 years experience in both the UK and continental European Real Estate markets, during which time his main focus has been commercial property investment.
Chris initially began his career in Prague back in 2000 before returning to the UK. He then rejoined Knight Frank - Prague in 2008 to head up their Investment team and was also responsible for their RICS valuation services. Chris has spent the past 3 years developing these business lines and increasing the office's exposure to international and local clients, whilst advising a number of investors on potential acquisitions and disposals throughout the Czech Republic. His efforts came to fruition most notably at the end of 2010 when he advised Invesco on the successful sale of the Longin Business Centre, Prague 1, to CPI for ca. €29 million.
Prior to returning to the Czech Republic Chris was focused full time on the successful investment programme for Rutley European Property Ltd, a London listed pan European investment company of ca. €700 million under management, where Chris had specific responsibilities for acquisitions in the CEE region.
Chris commented “I am very much looking forward to working for Colliers International and excited about this new career opportunity. The Colliers business has performed well despite the recent turbulence in the global investment and capital markets. I am glad to be joining the leading investment services team in this region.”
Colliers International in Czech Republic was established in 1994. It currently employs 17 people.
