Faurecia is the world’s sixth-largest automotive equipment supplier with four key Business Groups: Automotive Seating, Emissions Control Technologies, Interior Systems and Automotive Exteriors. The company employs 84,000 people globally and is represented in 33 countries. In the Czech Republic, Faurecia has six plants – two in both Pisek and Mlada Boleslav, and one each in Bakov nad Jizerou and Pardubice.
Colliers International was charged with conducting a search on behalf of Faurecia for an appropriate location for their new Emissions Control Technologies factory/production site in the vicinity of Mladá Boleslav. The leading advisory company in the real estate sector organised a tender to find the most reliable and experienced commercial partner for Faurecia, in which eight developers contended.
“We are always delighted to do what we do best for our clients, which in this case was the negotiation of all commercial conditions so that Faurecia was able to get the best terms” said Robert Bocker, Head of Industrial Agency, Colliers International Czech Republic.
Colliers International assisted Faurecia in the search for a convenient piece of land with the proper shape, size, and subsequently negotiated a 10-year lease contract for 25,900 m2, with the option to prolong the lease term. Faurecia together with the developer CTP laid the corner stone for the official start of construction in October this year. The hall will be completed at the beginning of 2013 and Faurecia will therefore be the first tenant in CTPark Mladá Boleslav. CTPark Mladá Boleslav is accessible from the R10 expressway (Prague-Liberec) by exit number 40. The park covers more than 19 hectares of land and apart from Faurecia’s facility may accommodate around another 50,000 m2 of industrial space.
