At the beginning of 2009, Auchan Magyarország Kft. announced a tender for a logistics warehouse in order to expand its existing base in Üllő. As a result, Auchan moved to neighboring Viktória Park Logistics Centre in Üllő, in September 2009, leasing nearly 20,000 m2 of storage space. Thanks to this lease transaction, the company took over nearly 55,000 m2 in Üllő Industrial Park. The deal was concluded in the autumn of 2009 – in the midst of a major economic downturn – and was widely regarded as the most important lease transaction within the Budapest metropolitan area market.

Building on its ongoing success story, Auchan Magyarország renewed its lease agreement in late summer 2012 and expanded the size of the leased storage space by 15,000 m2. As a result, the company currently holds a total of 35,000 m2 leased in Viktória Park Logistics Centre and operates nearly 70,000 m2 of storage space in Üllő Industrial Park.

Boncsér Péter, Supply and Logistics Director for Auchan, considers that in addition to the facility’s competitive pricing, the foundations of the partnership established with Auchan Magyarország are built on trust, integrity, and attention to tenants’ needs. These bases ensure a stable outlook for the newly extended business relationship.

Csoma András, representative of Raiffeisen Ingatlan Vagyonkezelő Kft, says that the owners welcomed Auchan’s expansion plans and agreement renewal. As a result of this new transaction, a significant portion of the building is now leased.
