Colliers International has been appointed by administrators MCR and PricewaterhouseCoopers to sell four Scarborough hotels in the English Rose chain.

Julian Troup, Head of UK Hotels Agency at Colliers International is leading the sale of the Royal and Clifton Hotels for MCR following their appointment as administrators of ERH (Scarborough) Ltd.

The Royal Hotel, a 19th Century classic resort hotel located above the popular South Bay has 110 letting bedrooms plus eight suites and a Presidential suite suitable for owners. The property also offers an Indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gymnasium.

The landmark Clifton Hotel offers 70 en-suite letting bedrooms and overlooks Scarborough North Bay. Julian commented: “We are anticipating a great deal of interest from a variety of different types of buyers. The Royal and Clifton have already attracted strong interest from Corporate purchasers.

The 19th Century Wrea Head Hotel, located on the edge of Scarborough in a beautiful country setting, is a tremendously characterful property with 20 en suite letting bedrooms whilst Hackness Grange is situated just a few miles away in the glorious North York Moors National Park and has 33 letting bedrooms and indoor and outdoor leisure.
