Developers, Omer Weinberger and Marc Pennick have successfully secured permission from Wandsworth Council’s planning committee to amend the planning consent on the former Homebase site on York Road, Battersea, London.

This amendment will enable the developers to add an additional two floors to the main tower of the mixed-use scheme, bringing it to 23 storeys and increasing the total number of residential units from 275 to 299.

Construction has already commenced on the scheme, which will also house the new 70,000 sq ft state-of-the-art headquarters for the Royal Academy of Dance on the ground and first floors.

The scheme is due for completion in 2019.
