The Green Dragon Inn at the Hardraw Force waterfall beauty spot in the Yorkshire Dales has new operators following a short period of marketing through specialist agents, Colliers International.

Freehold owner, Mark Thompson, who has owned the Green Dragon since 2001 has granted a lease to Pat Dolman, daughter Aislinn and Aislinn’s partner Matthew Kitchen.

Hardraw Force, which featured in the 1991 Kevin Costner Hollywood blockbuster edition of Robin Hood is England's highest single drop waterfall and Mark and Yvonne are retiring from the Green Dragon to run their Hardraw Force Waterfall Centre.

The inn has an atmospheric bar and dining area with beams; open fires and flagged floors; a function room; letting bedrooms; self-catering apartments and bunk room accommodation.

Peter Bean, Director of Hotels Agency at Colliers International's Leeds office, commented: “The Green Dragon has one of the best trading locations in the Dales. We generated a lot of interest from operators keen to take on this famous property and we wish Pat, Aislinn and Mathew success with their exciting new venture at what is one of Yorkshire’s best loved inns.”
