Following the success of healthy Fitzrovia based eatery, Maple & Fitz, Colliers International's Central London Restaurant team has advised Le Cordon Bleu trained chef and founder, Adria Wu, on acquiring her second site, a new 550 sq ft, A3 unit, in the heart of Kings Cross’ Argent redevelopment.

Maple & Fitz, which launched in 2015, serves healthy, hearty salads, grain bowls, cold-pressed juices and ‘guilt free treats’. The new branch; to be called Maple & King’s, opened its doors in April 2017, and is a much larger store, offering breakfast and lunch on weekdays, with the addition of weekend brunches and pop-up supper clubs on select evenings. With the opening of Maple & King’s, the Maple & Co group has grown to three sites: Maple & Fitz, Maple & King’s and Maple & CNM at College of Naturopathic Medicine. Each with their own ‘local’ focus, the sites have their own names and identities.

Adria Wu, commented: “People are now far more conscious of healthy living and looking after themselves, but they don't always have the time to prepare nutritious meals. Over the past year, we’ve been feeding Londoners, and even visitors to the UK's capital, with delicious and nourishing food, and it’s particularly rewarding that we’re now in a position to be able to expand. King’s Cross has become such a dynamic area in recent years, with some of the biggest brands in the world sitting alongside independent start-ups. I look forward to becoming part of such a lively community in 2017."

Kit Alexander, Associate Director in Colliers International’s Central London Restaurants team, said: “Healthy eating has been, and continues to be, the biggest trend we’ve seen in the food sector of late. The whole of Kings Cross is under development with new homes, office space, galleries, boutique gyms and bars, all set to open once the development has completed, making it an excellent location for Adria to expand and welcome new customers to the Maple & Co brand.”
