Abby Pugh Colliers

I joined Colliers in 2011 in order to establish a Valuation & Advisory Services team in Bristol. Building a new service line at that point in the economic cycle was a big challenge and in order to do this successfully I was keen to market the department’s profile internally as well as externally. During my time at Colliers, I launched a programme of events called ‘Banking Advisory Breakfast Briefing’ which has now become an annual event and showcases the backup that I am fortunate to benefit from in terms of research, transactional agency and investment; all of which are key to providing a comprehensive valuation offering. On the past two occasions the event has been ‘standing room only’. .

I joined Colliers in 2014 as Director and Co-Head | London Offices. In addition to buying and selling, I have been involved in a large number of asset management, development and refurbishment deals in London’s West End since 1989. Over the last five years, I have been involved in transactions to the value of £3.5 billion and flagship deals include the sale of 22 Hanover Square for £155 million. Having been at Colliers for over a year now, I have enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with other teams in the UK and across the globe to share expertise in order to create success for our clients.

I joined Colliers in 2005 and have been Head of the Bristol Office since 2011, I also lead the EMEA Industrial team. Community is very important to Colliers and in particular the Bristol Office; we organise an annual mini-triathlon – The Colliers Bristol TRYathlon – which brings local professionals together and raises money for charity at the same time. Additionally, we hold an office ‘Charity Day’ every year where we go out into the community and work for a local charity to help improve their facilities by carrying our practical work such as painting, cleaning and gardening. Not only does this get us working within the local community, it is also an excellent team building exercise; that we can all benefit from.

I joined Colliers in 2014 as a graduate in the London HQ gaining experience working with various teams on rotation including leisure and residential. One of Colliers’ greatest attributes is the fun working atmosphere within the office. It keeps you motivated to work hard, knowing that more often than not there are fun activities planned through work; whether this is a sporting, community or social event, including the mixers and the pub quiz, or even a table tennis tournament with other graduates. These are all great opportunities to get to know people around the business.
