Makati, 10 March 2017 – The Insular Life Building, a 14-storey office building located at the heart of Makati central business district, is ushered forward to continue its legacy as a historic, iconic building in the city, while providing the comforts, style and facilities of a modern building. Currently under renovation, the building is slated for completion in April 2017 with an additional 5-storey car park behind the main building.

 

Understanding the building’s historic value as a city landmark, the Company retained the gently curving façade covered by closely-set narrow vertical aluminum projections within rectangular modules, with most of the renovations focused on interiors and behind the building.

 

Insular Life is slated to be a fully-upgraded building with six (6) new elevators, three (3) new generator sets, 100% backup power, an elegant ballroom and function rooms and an exciting new retail offering. The building is PEZA certified, thus, PEZA-registered tenants are assured of tax incentives and other commercial benefits. The air-conditioning has also been replaced with new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system. In addition, security has also been modernized with new CCTV cameras in common areas to ensure 24/7 security. The building is also LEED registered and its typical floor plate is 1,617.56sqm.

 

The pre-selection of tenants for the building is being handled by both Colliers International and KMC Savills Group. This co-landlord representation partnership between two different companies is a first in Philippine real estate history.
