On 1 January 2018, real estate advisor Colliers International sets up a new internal advisory board. The "Young Sounding Board" consists of young talents up to 35 years who advise the board on the strategy of the company. The members are presented with strategic issues on which they may give advice.
"Colliers thinks it's important that young people from our company get a say in the strategic decisions we take. They are the future and the future is changing faster and faster. That is why their input is essential", says Dirk Bakker, CEO of Colliers International. "This official advisory board fits perfectly into our HR strategy and shows how we value our employees and want them to grow."
The Young Sounding Board includes employees who have completed one of the two Colliers talent programs. The Young Talent program focuses on starters with a maximum of one year of work experience and Colliers Competence is focussed on the group of employees with up to five years of experience. The winners of these programs become members of the Young Sounding Board. In addition, talents are selected who actively contribute to the further growth of the company outside their daily activities.
"Membership is the reward for winning an intensive one-year program. The prospect of participating in the Young Sounding Board will motivate the participants even more to achieve a good performance." concludes Dirk Bakker.
