17-07-2015 - The availability of larger office premises in the Amsterdam region* has remained stable in the past 12 months. After Moscow and Paris Amsterdam ranks third in the European market numbers of available larger offices. This shows from the annual ‘Large Officespace’ report by Colliers International. The report answers the question how many office suites with a minimum of 5,000 sqm are available in the key European markets. In the Amsterdam region there are 61 of these buildings. The demand however is limited with an average of 10 transactions of 5,000 sqm per year.
The Amsterdam market is highly segmented. In key areas like the Zuidas, Amsterdam Centre and Schiphol Centre the number of options is very limited while areas like Hoofddorp, Amsterdam South East and Amsterdam West offer much more choice. These types of segmentation can be found in the bulk of the European markets, only 19% of the available office premises are in CBD’s. Across Europe the number of options decreased by 12% compared to last year, limiting the choice for companies. The largest falls were seen in Moscow, Berlin and Frankfurt.
