Milan, February 13, 2017 - Colliers International Italy has today completed the lease of the building in Viale Monte Grappa 3 in Milan. The historic former headquarters of Tecnimont, then Marie Tecnimont, designed by architects Claudio Longo and Giulio Ricci, will be occupied entirely by Amazon that will make its new Italian headquarters.
The building, owned by Antirion SGR through its Global Fund Antirion core sector, has a total area of 17,500 square meters and consists of 10 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. The total area of the warehouses in the basement is 775 square meters.
The redevelopment project, created and supported by Colliers International Italy in the role of advisor and signed by GBPA Architects, improves the impact with the surrounding urban context thanks to a new glass facade which increases the permeability and lightness of the local, strengthening the relationship between exterior and interior, and will include the construction of an inner square and the lovely grounds on the panoramic terrace overlooking the new Milan Porta Nuova skyline.
The construction of the plants and the Monte Grappa project finishes requires compliance with the highest international standards and obtaining the platinum level, the highest among the LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) sustainability of a building.
