    November 13, 2013 - In 2012 with the merge of several companies linked to Sony, the Hungarian subsidiary of the Japanese electronics giant relocated and upgraded its office area within their building to a more prestigious area. “In 2013 Q3 Sony expanded with an additional office area of 320 sq m, reaching the total of 2,150 total office size in Óbuda Gate Office Building.” – Kata Mazsaroff, Director of Office Agency at Colliers International informed the OGH News Agency.

  • Emerson purchased 25,000 m2 production hall in Székesfehérvár, Hungary

    November 12, 2013 - Emerson Process Management Magyarország Kft. has undertaken a substantial expansion in Székesfehérvár. The purchase of a 25,000 m2 factory building on 12 hectares of land in the Sóstó Industrial Park nearly doubles Emerson’s current area in the Videoton Industrial Park with a total investment in excess of 3 billion HUF. The agreement was signed on 7 November 2013 by Emerson and the previous owner TP Vision. Emerson was represented in the transaction by global real estate advisory Colliers International.

  • Pharmaceutical ingredient-manufacturer moves to Corvin Promenade

    October 17, 2013 - Plazmaszolgálat Kft., a subsidiary of Biotest (German pharmaceutical company) will open its second plasmapheresis center in Budapest. The company has been operating successfully in Budapest for years. “On basis of the lease agreement, the tenant will occupy 752 sqm office space in Corvin Towers, from October 2013.” – informed OGH News Agency Miklós Ecsődi, senior associate of Colliers International providing tenant representation.

  • Green office stock exceeds 8%

    March 11, 2013 - The total stock of green buildings in Budapest, including certificates granted for new buildings as well as for existing buildings, totaled 262,000 sq m at the end of 2012; 8.2% of the total modern Budapest office stock. “The increasing tendency continues, since only green buildings are expected to be delivered in the near future. Skanska’s recently handed over Green House was pre-certified LEED Platinum and is expected to be the first building to achieve Platinum certification in Hungary soon.” – said Norbert Szircsák senior associate of valuation and green building certification teams at Colliers International Hungary.

  • Total guest nights have reached a decade high

    February 21, 2013 - According to the database of KSH (Hungarian Central Statistical Office) in Hungary both the number of guests and guest nights increased by 3.6% and 4.8%, respectively, in 2012, reaching a record high level. “Domestic tourism nights practically remained the same, while foreign tourism nights increased by 8%. Hotels performed beyond average; especially four-star hotels where foreign guest nights exceeded 18%. The number of guest nights (domestic and foreign) increased by a total 2.5%.” – said Norbert Szircsák, researcher and valuation consultant at Colliers International Hungary.
