    November 8, 2012 - Colliers International’s Green Building Certification team has assisted IG Immobilien in the LEED Silver certification of the Váci 33 office building. This is the first certification in Hungary under the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system.

  • Auchan extends lease term and expands in Üllõ

    November 6, 2012 - At the beginning of 2009 Auchan Magyarország Kft. announced a tender, in search of a logistics warehouse in addition to its existing base in Üllõ, as a result of which Auchan moved to the neighboring Viktória Park Logistics Centre in Üllõ in September 2009, leasing nearly 20,000 sqm of storage space.

    August 28, 2012 - Flairspring, an interior design and furniture retail company leased 443 sqm retail and office space in Krisztina Palace. This is the second retail unit of the Flairspring Group after their first shop opening in May 2012 at Szabadság tér. – said Miklós Ecsõdi, office leasing associate at Colliers International Hungary, introducing the tenant in the transaction.

However, a trend has emerged where new real estate projects are seeking green certifications and recognition for achieving high development standards by reducing a building’s footprint and environmental impact.

    August 22, 2012. - The Hungarian office of Colliers International has published its latest Hotel Market Report, which states, that in the first half of 2012, hotels registered a 4% increase in the number of guests and a 6% increase in guest nights compared to H1 2011.

    July 5, 2012. - T-Systems Hungary Ltd. has recently moved into its new office location. By leasing more than 15 000 sqm of office space and 500 parking places in South Buda Business Park, it is the biggest office relocation transaction on the market in the past 2 years, and the 6th largest office leasing transaction in CEE since the beginning of 2010.

  • IT Services Hungary decided to stay at its current premises

    July 3, 2012. - In the last five years IT Services Hungary has ramped-up from a mid-size company to the biggest ICT service company in Hungary. So, ITSH decided to renegotiate its current lease at IVG managed Infopark due to the flexibility of expansion needs. The infrastructure of Infopark suits the company's IT needs and the atmosphere of the park is an added value to their employees, Kata Mazsaroff, Head of Tenant representation of Colliers International informed the OGH News Agency.   • Sony decided to relocate to a higher level

    June 11, 2012. - Sony had decided to relocate to a higher level in its current office building including a full upgrade of the new space in the second half of the year. The Hungarian affiliate of the Japanese consumer electronics company is going to occupy 1200 m2 in the Óbuda Gate office building, Kata Mazsaroff, Head of Tenant representation of Colliers International informed the OGH News Agency.

    June 6, 2012. - Young & Rubicam has negotiated its current lease with its Landlord in MOM Park Office Building for additional several years upgrading its current space. Colliers International tenant represented Young and Rubicam during the negotiations, Kata Mazsaroff, Head of Tenant Representation informed the OGH News Agency.

  • Cautious banks, late investment bolsters figures

    March 13, 2012 - Based on the latest investment market report of Colliers International Hungary, the total investment transaction volume in Hungary in 2011 was €650 million, in comparison to 2010 when the value of investment transactions was less than €200 million. “H1 2011 saw an increased number of transactions from 2010, but it was in H2 2011, where two large benchmark office transactions occurred helped to boost the overall annual transaction figure.” – said Marcus Hill, Investment Director of Investment Services at the Hungarian office of Colliers International.

    March 7, 2012 - Colliers International Hungary has published its latest retail market report that states, that domestic spending showed no discernible change in 2011, with official statistics indicating stagnation in retail turnover in January–November compared to the same period of 2010.

    March 5, 2012 - Budapest’s industrial real estate market performed in line with expectations in 2011, showing stable and balanced activity at a relatively low level. Supply and demand, as well as rents, were mostly stable during the year, with a slight improvement noticeable toward the end of the year.
