Hong Kong, 2 November, 2016
– Colliers International Hong Kong office closed their door for one day on 28 October 2016 to contribute to the local community. This effort was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative, Out For Good, launched in 2011 to encourage staff to make a positive contribution to their local communities.
Colliers Hong Kong sponsored a group of elderly a tour to the first organic farm in Hong Kong set up by Produce Green Foundation. Over 150 Colliers employees and over 50 elderly experienced green lifestyle and the fun of making bread, herb salt and tea using organic ingredients.
“In Colliers, we are deeply committed to the communities in which we operate, and to building sustainable business practices, environments and workplaces. Through our Out For Good programme, we empower our people to deliver our values to the community. I’m very pleased that our Colliers volunteers turned an ordinary day into a special fun and meaningful day for our elderly,” said Nigel Smith, Managing Director of Colliers International Hong Kong.
Produce Green Foundation, a non-profit charitable organisation, was established in 1988 by a group of local enthusiasts concerned about modern farming and the environment. It promotes green lifestyles to the public through organic farming, providing safer and healthier food and environment.
