Hong Kong, 16 March 2016  -   The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has announced Gary Walter of Colliers International as a Young Achiever of the Year 2016 in the awards presentation ceremony held last week.

The Young Achiever of the Year Award, which recognises outstanding performance and achievement in the workplace as well as contribution to the profession and community, has selected Gary as a young achiever from his efforts to drive the business and professional standards on both a local and regional level, where he frequently undertakes projects in Southeast Asia.

“Being named a Young Achiever is a tremendous accomplishment that recognises Gary as an industry thought-leader and commitment to the community,” Nigel Smith, Managing Director, Colliers International Hong Kong said. “Last year, he was also awarded the Colliers Professional Service Excellence award in recognition of his quality of work and drive to deliver higher levels of service. Gary’s unwavering dedication to assist others in the profession, particularly those that are looking to join the industry or just beginning their careers, is a fine example to the young leaders in our organisation.”

“I am deeply honoured to receive this award from RICS. Knowing that my accomplishments have been deemed worthy of such merit motivates me to continue to strive for further success in my career,” said Gary Walter.

For the fifth year running, the RICS Awards Hong Kong celebrate excellence, professionalism, achievement, and overall contribution to our built environment.
