Hong Kong, 17 August 2015 – Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CIGI; TSX: CIG) today announced the expansion of its occupier services in Asia. A series of senior appointments and promotions have been made in order to develop and deploy an enhanced regional service offer to Colliers’ corporate clients.
"Our corporate clients are increasingly recognising the value of an expert partner to navigate the complexities of multi-market portfolios in Asia,” says David Hand, Chief Executive Officer of Colliers International, Asia Pacific. "We have established a new division to enable and accelerate the expertise, connectivity and consistency of our businesses across Asia.”
Sam Harvey-Jones has been appointed Managing Director, Occupiers Services Asia and will oversee the existing Corporate Solutions, Transaction Management, Project Management and Facilities Management teams within the Occupier Services business division.
Harvey-Jones has a wealth of expertise in the occupier services sector and a proven track record in building world class teams to deliver intelligent solutions to clients. He has almost two decades of experience in the real estate industry, spanning transaction management, corporate services and business development in Asia and Europe. After beginning his career in the United Kingdom, he moved to Asia Pacific (APAC) and worked on projects from Mumbai to Japan, and from Sydney to Beijing. Most recently, he led CBRE's occupier transaction teams in the region as co-head of Office Occupier Services, Asia. "I’m looking forward to working closely with the team, and relish the prospect of bringing Colliers’ tenant services businesses to market as one team," says Harvey-Jones. "A well-balanced, integrated Occupier Services platform will deliver business growth, while maintaining Colliers’ edge in delivering bespoke and flexible services to clients. I’m confident this business segment will continue to grow and drive long term value for our clients."
Other key changes at Colliers include Mark Lampard moving from Colliers Corporate Solutions division in Asia to the newly created role of Managing Director, Transaction Management, Asia.
Mark will oversee all tenant representation activities in Asia, as well as build a regional tenant advisory platform.
“The commitment within Colliers to ensure that we help tenants and occupiers of commercial, industrial or retail facilities meet their business objectives whether be it on a local, regional or global basis and providing a consistent and high quality experience is exciting, as is the opportunity to lead a team of immensely talented professionals within the company,” said Lampard.
With Lampard’s promotion, Abhishek Bajpai and Rick Thomas were recently promoted to Executive Director and appointed to jointly lead the Corporate Solutions business in Asia. Bajpai joined the Corporate Solutions team in 2006 and quickly demonstrated his ability to identify and secure new business, and to manage large and complex client relationships. Thomas is one of the longest serving members of the Corporate Solutions team and his expertise in programme management, systems and processes complement Bajpai’s strength in client development.
Returning from sabbatical to the role of Regional Executive Director, Occupier Services, Asia is industry veteran, Chris Cuff. Cuff has 22 years of commercial real estate experience split equally between Asia and North America having joined Colliers as Regional Director in 2008. Chris is acknowledged as a leader, teacher and innovator in the corporate real estate community in Asia and abroad.
