The instruction follows Intu’s recent purchase of Capital & Regional’s 50 per cent interest in the landmark Glasgow leisure asset, making it the sole owner of the scheme.
Xscape Braehead, which extends to 375,000 sq ft, includes a 12-screen Odeon cinema, Snow Factor and rock climbing, as well as restaurant names, such as Pizza Express, Nando’s and Frankie & Benny’s.
John Duffy, Retail Director with Colliers International, said: “The addition of Xscape Braehead to the Colliers International mandate is welcomed and will be complimentary to the existing, successful ongoing leasing we are undertaking at Braehead Shopping Centre.
“Xscape Braehead is a unique asset, which is unmatched in Glasgow and West of Scotland, and we look forward to enhancing its position as a leading leisure venue.”
Colliers International is currently the leasing agent for the 1,136,000 sq ft shopping centre and associated retail. The company advises Intu Properties on leasing Braehead Shopping Centre; Braehead Retail Park; Riverside Business Park and development land within Braehead Park. Its instruction on Xscape Braehead follows the news that CSC has lodged £200m investment plans for its Braehead Shopping Centre, located adjacent to Xscape.
Colliers International will act as joint leasing agent on Xscape Braehead with Lunson Mitchenall.
