Arun Leisure & Culture

Colliers International’s Destination Consulting team has been commissioned by Arun District Council, which serves Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and Arundel, to advise what its priorities should be for the development and enhancement of leisure and cultural facilities within the district in the period to 2028.

The purpose of this work is to help the Council agree investment and budget priorities and to shape planning policy and regeneration strategy in the area.

Colliers have also been asked to advise the council on what facilities might be funded from the new Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), and what the tariff might be to raise the necessary funds.

David Geddes, Principal Associate leading the work for Colliers International, commented: “The Government’s draft National Planning Framework says that local authorities should set out strategic priorities for development of leisure facilities, and the Community Infrastructure Levy provides a means to target funds towards delivery of those priorities. It is a pleasure to work with Arun in providing them with an evidence base and advice to help them do this.”
