Limerick Discussion

Limerick the home city of Terry Wogan, Richard Harris, Frank McCourt, the Irish finance minister Michael Noonan and Irish rugby greats Paul O'Connell and Keith Woods has lost focus, come under pressure and the city centre has become tired as a destination to visit, invest and live. Having recently completed a successful piece of work for Waterford city centre plus previous work in Limerick in 2008, Colliers International were asked at very short notice to lead a discussion with 16 Limerick decision makers and influencers from the private and public sectors.

Roger Hobkinson, who leads Colliers International management consulting in Ireland, including the Destination Consulting branded service, and Aiden McDonnell, Head of Retail, wowed the audience with their appreciation of Limerick's issues, their grasp of strategic and detailed property context, plus the actions needed to revitalise the city centre and its property offer. Feedback was excellent from the Limerick team and Colliers International were asked to write our thoughts and a proposal to help Limerick’s position for the future.
