Holiday Inn Express planned for Hague City Centre
THE HAGUE, 20 June 2012 – HPH Vastgoed Beheer (HPH) has acquired an office building, situated on Lange Houtstraat 5-7 in The Hague, from RE Netherlands Office.
HPH has bought the 4,450 sq m office building, (previously used as Campus The Hague, a part of Leiden University) for one of its subsidiaries, CV Haeghuys. CV Haeghuys has assigned a long-term lease to The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG), who will alter the use of the building and operate the space as a Holiday Inn Express Hotel.
The five story building has a garage with 35 parking spaces and will be redeveloped into a 120-bedroom hotel. The expected opening will take place by the end of this year and the hotel will be TVHG’s 4th hotel opening in a very short period. Other TVHG hotels due to open this year are in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Utrecht.
Lange Houtstraat 5-7 is in the centre of The Hague, next to “Het Plein” and in the direct vicinity of the “Binnenhof”. The property is surrounded by several restaurants, bars and shops.
Colliers International advised HPH Vastgoed Beheer on the purchase of the property and also advised The Vincent Hotel Group with regard to the new lease agreement. CBRE advised RE Netherlands Office.
