Colliers International has sold Wig Bay Holiday Park, located on the banks of Loch Ryan, Dumfries and Galloway, on behalf of Steel & Jane Fergusson, owners of the park for the last 16 years.
The 12.8 acres site, which houses 168 static caravan pitches and some 26 touring pitches, has been acquired by Mark Seaton, the owner of several parks in Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway. The purchase price was not disclosed but the selling agent confirmed that offers over £1.95 million had been invited.
Wig Bay Holiday Park, which features an indoor fully heated indoor swimming pool, launderette and children’s play area, is popular with tourists looking to explore south west Dumfries and Galloway and offers an excellent base for visitors to and from Northern Ireland, due to its proximity to Stranraer.
Richard Moss, Director of Parks, Sports and Marinas, Colliers International, said: “Wig Bay Holiday Park is a successful leisure business. A plan to create a further 22 pitches has previously been approved, which will provide further opportunities for growth under the new management of this highly-regarded park.”
