Hotel and licensed property specialists Colliers International has been instructed by Royal Bank of Scotland to dispose of the Haven Hotel, in Plockton, Ross-shire.
The business, which ceased trading in autumn 2011, is offered to the market at a sum of £300,000 on the instructions of Mortgagee in Possession, Royal Bank of Scotland. The hotel has total of 15 bedrooms, one suite, a private flat, bar, lounge and two restaurants.
Alistair Letham a director with selling agents Colliers International commented: “Plockton is a perennially popular visitor’s destination and the Haven Hotel is well positioned to capitalise upon this influx. It offers a real opportunity for new owners to reopen and re-establish what was once a thriving business in an idyllic 'picture postcard' village on Scotland’s north west coast.”
“Plockton was once a closely guarded secret, until featuring on the BBC TV series Hamish Macbeth, where it was utilised as the backdrop for the village and still enjoys additional visitors to the village, as a result.”
