The Forbes Arms Hotel, an imposing roadside property, has a commanding position overlooking the River Don at Bridge of Alford. The hotel which has 9 en suite letting bedrooms along with 2 bars, dining room and conservatory restaurant, plus a private flat, has in the past been an extremely popular haunt for both the local community and visitors particularly sportsman – fishermen and shooters. The Forbes Arms Hotel has been closed for business for over one year.
The new owners are locally based Patricia & Richard Rendall who plan to reopen the business and create it, once again, as a popular destination venue.
Alistair Letham, of selling agents Colliers International commented. “The Forbes Arms Hotel in the past has been an extremely busy and popular rural village hotel drawing custom from the local community and visitors, particularly the fishing community. There is no reason despite the fact the hotel has been closed for business for over 1 year that the business cannot be re-established. The hotel has a superb commanding position on the banks of the River Don and provides a range of accommodation and food and beverage facilities to suit all”.
The purchase price of the Forbes Arms Hotel, Bridge of Alford, Alford was not disclosed.
