Colliers International Sell two in fill development sites in Dublin
-- Colliers International have sold two residential sites, both located close to the city centre but on either side of the River Liffey --
Dublin, 2nd December 2016 - Colliers International have sold two residential sites, both located close to the city centre but on either side of the River Liffey. The first comprises a site of 0.41 acres at the former Parnell Park Public House, 121 – 127 Malahide Road, Dublin 3. Located less than 4 km from O’Connell Street, the site was sold with a lapsed planning permission but is well suited to the development of a terraced housing or duplex apartment scheme. The site sold for €800,000 which equates to €2,600,000 per acre.
To the south side of the river, Colliers sold 0.3 acres, Off Sundrive Road, Kimmage, Dublin 12 for €785,000. The site is located less than 3.75 km from Grafton Street. Again, the site was sold with a lapsed planning permission for 12 apartments and the agents believe a version of the lapsed permission would be the optimum use for the site.
Both sites were purchased by Irish Developers and are likely to be developed for residential use.
Richard Bielenberg of Colliers International states “Both sites are in established areas with fantastic schools, public transport and amenities, with the current housing shortage it is fantastic to see these well serviced sites being put to residential use”.
