The property will house administration, the central warehouse and mail order sales and the Group plans to immediately expand the property by building three new halls totaling 6.200 m2. So far, the Group has had its headquarters in the village of Fraugde south of Odense, but the property was too small. Besides more space, the new property provides easier access to the central warehouse because of its convenient location close to the motorway, just as the large site of 85.000 m2 provides great future security in the form of good expandability.
The property has until the sale been used as a wine and spirits store for Altia – probably best known in Odense as ‘The Vineyard’. In connection with the sale, Altia unites its storage in Svendborg, where the company’s bottling plant is located.
Martin Pedersen and Steen Madsen from Colliers in Odense have arranged the sale of the property. “We are very pleased to have been involved in such a large and exciting trade, which helps to maintain and modernize two such large and important companies in Odense and Svendborg” says certified real estate agent Martin Pedersen.
Certified real estate agent Steen Madsen adds: “the entire process surrounding the sale of the property has lasted approx. one year, in which there have been negotiations between buyer and seller in approx. half a year. In a time when closures are very common and where the sale involves a very large and complex property, it is actually a very fast process.”
