ATP has bought the property Krumtappen 2 from Ejendomsselskabet Krumtappen 2 A/S, a subsidiary of the Norwegian property company Oslo Areal AS. Colliers International Danmark A/S has arranged the sale to ATP, after having organized the rental of the property to the City of Copenhagen, which uses the property for home care service in Valby.
The property is approx. 8.000 m2 of which the basement is approx. 1.000 m2. The property has previously been used by Kommunernes Pension Forsikring and Gjensidige Insurance. The purchase price of the property is approx. DKK 100 mill.
Director Peter Lassen, Colliers International A/S, Copenhagen, says: “It has been two good processes. First, the lease to the Home Care Service was concluded. This required a special layout of the property: in addition to the interior design, several bike parking spaces were established and power stations for the Home Care Service’s electrical cars were installed. After the lease agreement was in place in the end of 2011 the dialogue with ATP Properties started, which ended with completion on October 1, 2012.”
Colliers is experiencing great demand for all types of investment properties in Copenhagen. Peter Lassen elaborates: “Office properties must, however, be rented out to good tenants with long leases and on market conditions. Residential properties, mixed properties and development properties are in turn in great demand. In fact, it is difficult to obtain sufficient investment properties to match the current demand.”
