Colliers International has acquired the Half Moon public house in Dulwich, London from Trust Inns Ltd on behalf of Britannia Pub Co.
Britannia Pub Co is owned by industry veteran Cymon Eckel who rose to fame in the music industry with Boys Own and the first DJ orientated bar Riki – Tik in Soho, he continued this success with live music venues including The Coronet and XOYO. Britannia intends to refurbish and relaunch the unit next year.
Ross Kirton, Director at Colliers International commented, “Cymon has had notable success in the licensed sector. Having recently sold XOYO he now plans to develop The Britannia Pub Company a new venture that focuses purely on creating premium neighbourhood pubs. The Half Moon has enormous potential and we are sure Cymon will maximise this.”
Cymon said: “Acquiring the Half Moon has to be one of the most satisfying deals I’e done, everybody loves and knows the site – it’s beautiful. We are going to work extremely hard to make the business one of the exciting prospects of next year.”
