CHALLENGE

  • Having assessed the property and site Colliers International analysed previous market transactions when providing advice on the achievable value. This resulted in an instruction to market the property with the instruction that a certain figure must be reached before the sale could be approved. This resulted in the challenge of finding a suitable purchaser willing to proceed at a historic value in tough market conditions.

STRATEGY

  • We were required to commence marketing and hold discussions with a number of potential purchasers. Having received interest from our extensive database of contacts we then ensured that each potential purchaser had adequate funding available for the purchase. Having received this information Colliers International held discussions with the client and made relevant recommendations as to which, if any, offer should be accepted.

RESULTS

  • Having undertaken extensive marketing Colliers International were able to achieve a figure at a historic price in tough market conditions. The required price was achieved in a relatively short timescale.
