Colliers International has expanded its retail agency team with the appointment of a new National Head of Shopping Centre Leasing. Nicholas Round is joining Colliers from Tushingham Moore, where he was responsible for winning business including Temple Point, Birmingham and Ryemarket Shopping Centre in Stourbridge.

Nicholas has spent 29 years in the property industry, and has an extensive client list featuring names such as AXA, ING, Threadneedle, Frogmore and LaSalle.

Nicholas’ role at Colliers will be to lead and develop the shopping centre leasing business across the UK working with Colliers International’s network of retail agents represented in the UK’s key markets.

Nicholas’ appointment is the second high grade appointment at Colliers in as many weeks, with the company announcing the recruitment of Philip Papenfus as Head of South East Offices last week.

Paul Moody, Head of Retail at Colliers International commented: “We are delighted to have Nick on board to lead our shopping centre leasing offer.  He has a wealth of experience in the sector, and his appointment will undoubtedly enhance the service we offer to clients.”

Colliers’ Chief Executive, Tony Horrell, announced his intention to recruit a number of senior level staff following the end of his recent review of the Colliers operation.

Tony said: “I promised that I was looking to bring in some high ranking people and that the process would be beginning immediately. The appointments of first Philip and now Nicholas in quick succession is showing the attraction of a move to the growing business of Colliers International.

“We are continuing talks with other senior industry people, and look forward to welcoming many of them to Colliers over the coming months.”
