Douglas joined Colliers in 2001 where he was hired as Director of Research to develop & implement a Research Department. The result was completing a first class sustainable methodology standards and reporting, which became relied upon by multiple private and government institutions.While supervising the Research Department he entered into investment sales analysis and development consulting specializing in commercial and residential land for development. He also engaged in conducting staff and agent trainings on resources and procedures to the due diligence process as well as staff training on the use of software applications and internet resources. His past experience and skill set assisted in establishing a leadership role in the Multi-Family Investment Specialty Group and Distressed Asset Resolution Dispositions/Acquisitions practice group.
