AREA OF EXPERTISE
Doug Frye is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Colliers International, the third largest commercial real estate firm in the world, a position he has held since 2002.
He is also chairman of the Colliers International Governing Committee (CIGC), which oversees the Colliers International brand on a global scale.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Doug has been a champion for the Colliers International brand for many years and has been instrumental in helping the company to grow its platform both organically and through key strategic acquisitions and partnerships globally.
These efforts have resulted in a 450 percent growth in the firm’s revenues, from $187 million in 2007 to over $1 billion in 2010.
Recently, he helped evolve the organization from a network of independent firms to a global enterprise, now ranked as the second most powerful brand in the industry. This included spearheading the global leadership team in making key changes to the company’s operating model and launching a new market positioning and rebranding strategy globally.
Doug has also been instrumental in building a strong culture within Colliers. This includes establishing a global initiative to become a world leader in sustainability and opening doors at the local, national and international levels for corporate social responsibility programs, charitable giving and community involvement.

BUSINESS BACKGROUND
Doug has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial real estate and has held several leadership positions with top industry firms.
While at Grubb & Ellis, he completed more than $5.5 billion in investment sales and capital market transactions; led the investment properties division, reorganizing it into product specialty groups, creating overall efficiency; increased revenues from $21 million to $70 million over a four- year period; and integrating two diverse cultures with different compensation programs to work together successfully to create revenue and higher quality client services.
Doug also spent several years on the client side of the business, including three years as Vice President of Acquisitions & Dispositions with The Shidler Group in Chicago.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Doug has been instrumental in ensuring Colliers International is actively involved in both humanitarian efforts globally as well as empowering local offices to support the communities in which they do business.
Personally, Doug is involved with Global Partnerships in Latin America and Agros International, which enables land ownership and economic stability in Central America and Mexico. He has journeyed to Africa to build schools and dig freshwater wells with World Vision and funded a medical supply boat that brought direct care to people in remote areas along Brazil’s Amazon River.
He annually supports Youth With a Mission’s Homes of Hope project in Mexico, where he helps construct homes with a team of Colliers International employees.
