AREA OF EXPERTISE
David Pinsel serves as Managing Director for Inland Empire and Greater Los Angeles Investment Services.

His role is multi-faceted with a focus on developing and overseeing the investment services platform region-wide as well as managing all the operations for the Inland Empire region. His primary responsibilities include further developing the region’s distressed asset business, the recruitment and training of investment professionals, and managing the operations of the investment division on a day-to-day basis.

He also serves as the lead for Colliers Asset Resolutions Team – Southern California. The team, comprised of top local investment professionals representing each product line, helps lenders maximize value recovery with distressed properties.

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• As a member of the Greater Los Angeles management team, he serves as one of the youngest Managing Directors in the firm’s history
• Recruited more than 23 top-producing professionals to the Greater Los Angeles since 2009 region
• Serves on the Colliers University faculty and travels to offices throughout the U.S. training professionals in strategic sales skills
• Plays a national role within Colliers with his involvement in the National Investment Brokerage Call, the National Net Leased Steering Committee, and the Global Technology Enhancement Group, representing Brokerage Services

BUSINESS AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
David joined Colliers in 2008 as director for the Private Capital Advisors. In that role, he managed and advised a group of professionals across Greater Los Angeles whose focus was on private capital clients in various product types. His prior experience, both as a broker and leader in the industry, provided him with a comprehensive understanding of investors’ needs and made him a natural fit to lead the team.

Prior to joining Colliers, David worked in brokerage at Sperry Van Ness. As a broker, his primary focus was on multifamily and retail investments for private investors. It was at Sperry where David first got experience in management and operations. He, and his partner, were responsible for opening and overseeing the firm’s Long Beach office and took the lead role in establishing the firm’s first international location in Costa Rica as broker/owner.
David started his real estate career at Marcus & Millichap as a multifamily specialist in Long Beach.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
David is involved with local charitable organizations focusing on child welfare.

In his spare time, David can be found enjoying the sand and surf in Manhattan Beach. David is an avid traveler who enjoys learning and experiencing foreign cultures. Athletically, David is a regular on the Basketball and Beach Volleyball courts and is known as the “Don” on the paddle tennis court.
