David T. Finger joined Colliers Pinkard as Senior Vice President and Managing Director in November 2006. Mr. Finger manages the daily operations of the Raleigh office; leads the leasing and property management teams; and is responsible for developing Raleigh-based investment sales efforts. Working with Colliers Pinkard’s Raleigh team, he will manage future growth of Colliers Pinkard in the Triangle market in meeting the real estate needs of property owners, institutional investors and the Triangle’s business community.
Mr. Finger was previously with Highwoods Properties, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), in which he held positions as Director of Investments and Weston Marketing and Project Manager. At Highwoods, his responsibilities included leasing, marketing, land planning, financial oversight of profit centers, zoning & land use approvals, asset acquisitions/dispositions and property association management. Mr. Finger sold 16 non-core Highwoods buildings (912,000 SF) and 235 acres of land for $120 million with another $60 million in non-core assets under contract at his departure. He also successfully guided five rezoning cases through approvals in the Town of Cary.
Mr. Finger also brings managerial experience from a Fortune 250 energy company where he held various positions with responsibilities for structural/geotechnical design, construction project management, technical litigation support, regulatory agency interface, license negotiations and internal operational auditing.
David is a licensed real estate broker and professional engineer in the State of North Carolina. He holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
