As a Senior Vice President and Principal of Colliers Pinkard, Mr. Downey has been involved in a variety of leasing, brokerage, sales and corporate services.  Mr. Downey has negotiated real estate transactions in the past several years representing an aggregate value of over $700 million and over 5.0 million square feet.

In the past several years, he has represented clients on a nation-wide basis such as:

  • ADVO, Inc. for some 50 locations
  • AEGON USA for several multidisciplinary assignments
  • First Horizon Home Loan Corporation for over 25 offices
  • Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. for over 250,000 square feet in ten states
  • Monumental Life Insurance Company for the sale and lease of multiple sales offices
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers for transactions totaling over 250,000 square feet

Mr. Downey won the award for "1992 Office Transaction of the Year" from the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors for the Maryland National Mortgage Corporation representation project and the "2003 Baltimore Business Journal Office Transaction of the Year" for the Miles and StockBridge P.C. Representation project.  He has been Vice-Chairman of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtor’s - Commercial/Industrial Division. 

Mr. Downey is involved civically as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake. Mr. Downey is also a graduate of the 2004 Leadership Program sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Committee.
