Since joining Colliers International in 1996, Mr. Butler has completed financing and sales transactions worth over $400 million. Mr. Butler brings to the firm successful experience encompassing the disciplines of real estate investment, finance, management, and development. Areas of expertise include income property sales, acquisitions, dispositions, syndication, 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, and debt and equity placement.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Mr. Butler was responsible for acquisition and joint venture development of nine properties representing total assets in excess of $32 million. The ventures included redevelopment of existing retail centers, a retail build-to-suit for Cost Plus and construction of a Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites. Prior to this, he ran a private real estate investment company that owned a diversified portfolio of residential and commercial real estate.
Mr. Butler's training in financial analysis, coupled with his expertise in computers, has proved to be an ideal combination for the sale of income-producing properties, and gives him the tools needed to provide even higher levels of service to his clients.
